Data management planning in the era of EOSC (the European Open Science Cloud) and AI (artificial intelligence) becomes all the more crucial. The Horizon Europe framework programme focus on open science has already signalled the importance of having tools in place and using them even from proposal writing stage.
Argos is the OpenAIRE Data Management Plan service that supports researchers to understand the needs of research data management early in the process, and to use best-fit or emerging infrastructure to tackle aspects of FAIR-ness (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Re-usable), openness, costs, legal and ethical issues for re-use. It also addresses requirements as set up by research institutions and funders that put the rules in the data environment.
As Argos is a new service in the OpenAIRE portfolio, it is crucial to ensure that it responds to the real needs of its users. Based on the received feedback, OpenAIRE team enhanced Argos with new features to improve the interoperation and the user experience. All changes were released in May in argos.openaire.eu.
